This week my class was asked to create an account on brandyourself.com. This site is a useful tool for determining how your presence ranks online. After reviewing the searches associated with my name (and deciding if they were positive, negative, or not about me) I was a little disappointed to see my initial score: When ranking my results I found that majority of the results weren't even about me which led me to such a low score. Over the next few weeks I will be taking the suggested steps to improving my search results (which can be seen below) in hopes of improving my score to at least a C.

I think a score of a C is a good place to start Amber! I didn't have that good of a score either when I did my branding assignment.

You and I scored very similar, we should get together and compare how one another boosted their score and what methods we used to help each other!

I imagine that having a common last name makes it more difficult to score as high, but its great how helpful Brand Yourself is in helping you to promote yourself and I'm sure by the end of the semester you'll be one of the most searchable people with your name!

AuthorAs a first year college student you can say my life is a little insane. My daily week consists of work, sorority events, club meetings and a whole bunch of college classes. Sometimes I get a little stressed but I wouldnt trade this life for anything! Archives
